You could try negotiating the lease by paying a few months ahead, but good luck. That%26#039;s a tough problem in Houston. I was homeless there once - the downtown area.



They don%26#039;t seem to care if you live indoors or outdoors. If you have poor credit, most places won%26#039;t let you in.



You might try renting a small house from the owner who doesn%26#039;t do a credit check, but that could be expensive and rare.



Also, you could phone some apartment locators and explain your problem to them. Then they do the negotiating and with a good excuse (illness or a good reason) you may get in. That%26#039;s what I did once. I lived in Houston 15 years.
