Where can i get a business bank account with my poor credit rating history?

Hello,

(ANS) Heres one idea that occurrs to me, if you have a business that is setup as a limited company. You could have a sleeping partner or sleeping director who is technically a board member but doesnt actually do any work as such.

This would allow you to setup a business bank account in the partners name NOT yours, (your credit history remains yours) on behalf of the company.

**A point to remember is that a limited company is a destinct legal entity (like a person) %26amp; so the bank account is the companies NOT yours, yes! you might be a board member and you might be a cheque book signatory but this way your credit history would be an issue I dont think.

**YES! you would be advises to contact your local branch of business link (you%26#039;ll find them in the yellow pages or phone book). They are a very good source of help on such questions, they could advise you.

**Also local chamber of commerce if not business link.

**Its obviously more problematic if your only a sole trader.

Hope that helps?

Best Regards IR

Start small with Orchard Bank or Household Bank. Another company that may approve you is Applied Card Bank Visa or Washington Mutual. They may only give you small limits at first, but it%26#039;s a great way to imrpove your score.
